Start Smart! College Bound - Career Ready is a college & career prep program designed to help students and parents navigate the college admission process. We believe in helping students achieve their goals to attend college or join the workforce after high school.
We provide students and parents with the information needed to help them make informed decisions regarding college and to ensure that they have all the resources needed to be successful in college and the workforce.
It is our goal to assist any student who has a desire to attend college by equipping them with the information they need to start their search. We believe in preparing students for the workforce by helping direct them to the career path that best fits them and their interest.
Meet Our Founder
Felicia Allen, CA
Felicia Allen is the CEO and Program Director of Start Smart! College Bound - Career Ready. Smart Start is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, created to provide college & career readiness skills to students in grades 9th -12th.
Felicia is a Certified Career Advisor. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Mobile and is currently pursuing her Master's in Higher Education in Student Affairs at University of West Alabama.
Felicia has over 15 years of Human Resources experience. Her last 10 years spent in Employee Relations played a vital role in her desire to start her own business. She is passionate about learning, development, and helping students prepare for college and the workforce. She helps students to identify gaps in learning and skill development by designing and developing courses with job shadowing experiences to equip them with the tools needed to be successful.
